The Opportunity:
 
NES Fircroft are partnering with a tier 1 resources client who are after multiple Health & Safety advisors to join their projects and operations safety teams. Contracts range from initial 6-12 months across operations & production, engineering projects and port operations.
 
The Role:
 
Site-based roles on an 8/6 FIFO roster. This role is critical to project adherence to all HSE requirements and will include but not be limited to the following responsibilities:


  • Conduct HSE audits and inspections, providing guidance to other staff as to best Health & Safety practice.
  • Monitor compliance with HSE obligations and acts, putting in place effective risks and controls to prevent incidents and breaches of obligations.
  • Investigating and reporting on all HSE incidents
  • Training and advising other staff on best HSE practice to minimize hazards.
  • Inspecting, monitoring and evaluating HSE systems and processes to ensure continued adherence to best HSE practices.
 
The Requirements:
  • Cert IV in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent qualification)
  • Strong understanding of Australian OHS legislation
  • Strong experience in the resources sector in either construction projects, production & maintenance or mobile crushing.
  • Good experience around contractor management. Ideally experience doing this client side.
  • Valid working rights in Australia.
