Health & Safety Advisor – Data Centre Construction – Sweden

Are you an experienced Health and Safety Advisor with data centre construction experience, and are you seeking a new role in Sweden? NES Fircroft have been engaged to secure an experienced Health and Safety Advisor with exposure to data centre projects and the permanent role comes with an attractive salary package.

This role is open to local candidates as well as other EU candidates on a rotation with all flights and accommodation paid for by our client.

As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for the overall health and safety on site.

In a typical week, your role will include the following:
  • Promote safe working practices and ensure the implementation of Winthrop’s HSE policy and procedures on site.
  • Carry out regular site HSE inspections and report back findings to relevant personnel
  • Provide project staff with relevant HSE documentation
  • Ensure that HSE project plans meet company standards
  • Ensure documentation complies with audits
  • Conduct risk assessments and sub-contractor evaluations and documentation review when requested
  • Keep up to date on HSE legislation and industry best practice.
  • Communicate, demonstrate, and promote Winthrop HSE values and concepts.
  • Liaising with the relevant legal authorities
  • Attend relevant HSE meetings as required
  • Prepare HSE reports as required
  • Assist managers with safety and environmental submissions, risk assessments and vendor evaluations when requested.
To apply for this role, you will need a minimum of 3 years of work experience in a similar function and must be able to work independently within a data centre environment. You will also need:
  • Experience in large scale construction projects is required.
  • Relevant third level degree qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety.
  • knowledge of current environmental, health and safety legislation.
  • Ability to efficiently deal with all environmental, health and safety issues on site.
  • Strong communication & computer skills, as well as ability to maintain reporting databases and associated documentation.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and possess strong interpersonal and communications skills.
