Are you an experienced Heavy Vehicle Fitter looking to take your career offshore with a world-class mining operation? A leading gold producer in Papua New Guinea is seeking skilled and safety-driven tradespeople to join their team and help maintain their fleet of heavy mobile equipment.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled maintenance, breakdown repairs, and inspections on heavy mobile equipment, including CAT, Komatsu, and Hitachi units
- Diagnose faults and perform component changeouts (engines, transmissions, hydraulics)
- Work collaboratively with maintenance planners and supervisors to minimize equipment downtime
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with site safety standards and procedures
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance practices
- Trade qualified Heavy Vehicle Fitter / Diesel Mechanic (Australian-recognised or PNG-equivalent)
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a mining or heavy industry environment
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Sound knowledge of CAT, Komatsu, or similar heavy machinery
- Commitment to safe work practices and team collaboration
- Previous PNG or FIFO experience (desirable but not essential)
