- Supervise and coordinate all heavy lifting operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
- Oversee the use of cranes, hoists, and other heavy equipment.
- Conduct site inspections and risk assessments prior to lifting operations.
- Develop and implement lift plans and safety protocols.
- Train and supervise crew members on equipment usage and safety.
- Monitor lift operations to ensure timely and efficient execution.
- Maintain and inspect lifting equipment regularly.
- Document operations, incidents, and report to management.
- Liaise with project managers and clients to determine lifting requirements.
Experience and qualifications:
- CPCS Appointed Person (Mobile Crane Lifting Operations) – A61
- CPCS Crane Supervisor (Mobile Crane Lifting operations) – A62
- NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Lifting Operations
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma Moving Engineering Construction Load
- LEEA – Lifting engineers association certification.
- LOLER Planning & Risk assessment
- TAP01 Planning a mechanical rigging & lifting operation
- Stage 4 Rigger competency
- Stage 4 Banksman Slinger competency
- Rigging loft management & lifting equipment inspection
- Experience in heavy lifting operations, including planning and supervising complex lifts
- Experience working with mechanical lifting, mobile cranes, lifting accessories, and movement of heavy plant & equipment.
