Position Summary
Contractor is seeking a highly skilled and certified High Voltage Splicer with specific experience in Pfisterer Size 6 cable accessories. This role is critical to the successful installation and commissioning of high-voltage cable systems on the Client LNG project. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in splicing and terminating high-voltage cables in industrial or energy sector environments, with a strong emphasis on safety, precision, and quality. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform splicing, jointing, and terminating of high-voltage cables using Pfisterer Size 6 components in accordance with manufacturer and project specifications.
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings, cable schedules, and installation procedures.
  • Conduct pre- and post-installation testing, including insulation resistance and high-voltage withstand tests.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with Prysmian’s quality standards and Venture Global LNG’s safety protocols.
  • Maintain detailed records of splicing activities, test results, and installation logs.
  • Collaborate with QA/QC personnel to ensure proper documentation and inspection of completed work.
  • Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and ongoing training sessions.
  • Support troubleshooting and repair activities as needed during commissioning and energization phases.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in high-voltage cable splicing and terminations.
  • Pfisterer Size 6 certification is required and must be current.
  • Demonstrated experience with high-voltage cable systems (69kV and above) in industrial or energy projects.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety standards, including OSHA and NFPA 70E.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, elevated areas, and challenging field conditions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.



Preferred:
  • Experience on LNG, petrochemical, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with complex cable systems and installation practices.
  • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent.
  • NCCER or other craft certifications


Working Conditions
  • Field-based at construction facility sites.
  • Requires strict adherence to safety protocols and PPE usage.
May involve extended hours, night shifts, or weekend work depending on project demands.
