The Opportunity:
 
NES Fircroft are partnering with a global renewable OEM who are after a HSE Advisor to join their team on a 2/1 FIFO roster from Perth. This is a staff role on an initial 2 year max-term contract tied to various project works throughout Western Australia.
 
The Role:
 
Site-based role 2/1 FIFO from Perth. Reporting to the HSE Supervisor, this role is critical to driving health and safety performance on site. Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Participate in the development, maintenance, and continual improvement of health and safety procedures, plans and documents.
  • Coach team leaders and contracted workers in the application and enhancement of health and safety process 
  • Lead and participate in health and safety audits & inspections.
  • Provide operational support to the  the Project Team.
  • Facilitate, assist and coach event investigations.
  • Support site leadership in the close out of identified corrective actions, communicate lessons learnt to relevant site stakeholders.
  • Participate in risk assessments and prestart safety reviews.
  • Work collaboratively with all relevant stakeholders to drive a positive health and safety culture.
  • Assist in compiling reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Attend & contribute to various meetings regarding health & safety performance.
 
The Requirements:
  • Cert IV in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent qualification)
  • Cert IV in Training & Assessment (highly desirable)
  • Strong understanding of Australian OHS legislation
  • Good safety systems and reporting skills
  • Strong experience in construction, preferably in either the renewable or mining industries.
