NES Fircroft have partnered with a global energy business to recruit a HSE Specialist (12-month contract, Brisbane, QLD). Our client is an energy-tech powerhouse, delivering equipment to energy businesses in over 120 countries. The position is based in Brisbane CBD, working Monday to Friday.
As HSE Specialist, you will be contributing to a mature safety culture and advance modern risk‑management and Safety 2.0 practices. In this pivotal position you will guide, mentor and influence personnel at all levels, ensuring HSE remains a core business priority.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with frontline employees and leadership to embed HSE excellence and shared accountability across all operations.
- Coach supervisors and managers in developing a robust safety culture and clear ownership of HSE outcomes.
- Collaborate with local and regional HSE teams and subject‑matter experts on risk controls specific to an oil‑and‑gas supply‑base environment.
- Support emergency‑response preparedness, including creation, maintenance and delivery of procedures and training.
- Design and facilitate HSE awareness and workforce‑engagement programmes.
- Champion health initiatives, with particular emphasis on mental‑health promotion across the site.
- NEBOSH Diploma, Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety, or equivalent; a relevant bachelor’s degree is highly regarded.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and influence stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- Previous HSE experience within oil & gas, manufacturing, mining or heavy‑industrial settings.
