Job Title: Quality Control Inspector – Mechanical
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Quality Control Inspector with a strong mechanical background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in dimensional inspection, valve systems, and machining environments. This role is critical in ensuring product quality, reducing non-conformances, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Quality Control Inspector with a strong mechanical background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in dimensional inspection, valve systems, and machining environments. This role is critical in ensuring product quality, reducing non-conformances, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct proactive process surveillance and product inspections to reduce non-conformances.
- Identify, assess, and report process deviations and non-conformances.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to implement corrective actions.
- Support the Material Review Board (MRB) process by assisting in part disposition and rework decisions.
- Report daily internal and external defects and assist in root cause analysis.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of 6S and MRB best practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during inspections.
- Inspect packaging methods to meet customer and internal standards.
- Verify warehouse picking accuracy (part numbers and quantities).
- Coordinate with QC Final Inspection to ensure timely shipment deliveries.
Qualifications & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in quality control or inspection in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
- Strong understanding of ASME, ASTM, ISO 17025 standards.
- Proficient in reading engineering drawings and interpreting GD&T.
- Experience using micrometers, CMMs, and other precision measurement tools.
- Familiarity with valves, actuation systems, and dimensional testing.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Comfortable working with plastics and metals in a machining environment (mills, surface finishes, troubleshooting).
- Strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Background in inspection and engineering methods.
- Ability to work independently and hit the ground running.
- Coachable and adaptable to dynamic work environments.
