We are seeking an experienced Instrument & Controls Commissioning Lead Engineer to join the Pluto Train 1 Modification Project team based in Karratha. The role offers a FIFO 2:1 roster and the contract will run until the end of 2026.

Main Responsibilities:
- To oversee all aspects of Instrument and Controls Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning.
- Finalise the required Instrument Commissioning procedures for function testing, fire and gas, detailed testing method statements, and other specific scopes and general execution.
- Supervise the day-to-day field execution of Instrument and Controls Commissioning activities.
- Complete the required commissioning check and test sheets.
- Coordinate the Controls & Instrumentation Commissioning workforce.
- Ensure that proper documentation, tools and equipment are available for the site technicians as required.
- Managing and developing / adapting test plan to maintain progress and achieve testing without impact on plant operations.
Key technical and management skills for the role:
- Strong competence and experience in the practice of controls and instrument commissioning, desirably in a major hydrocarbon facilities environment.
- Preferably previous experience in managing live plant controls system expansions.
- Proven experience in instrument and controls systems installation and testing.
- Management and supervision experience leading own team and subcontractor staff.
- Record of setting and driving controls and instrument test programme.
- Experience of Quality control inspections/testing programmes.
- Good communication and writing skills including development of test and switching procedures.
- Familiar with completions management systems and ITRs and systemisation principles.
- Ability to liaise with clients, statutory authorities and other consultants.
- Utilise lessons and opportunities for improvement to improve delivery.
- Work independently to complete the planning, design and execution of projects that meet or exceed client expectations, are within the agreed budget, and are delivered on or ahead of schedule and with minimal risk to the health and safety of people and the environment.

Qualifications and experience:
- Minimum of 10+ years’ experience as an instrument & controls commissioning specialist
- Previous experience in LNG & control systems essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
