Job Title: Instrumentation & Controls Engineer II

Position Overview
We are seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer II to support engineering execution across a range of technical projects. The successful candidate will ensure that discipline engineering work—both internal and contractor-delivered—is aligned with project specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements. This role also plays a key part in communication across project teams, supporting execution planning, design quality, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyzing maintenance records to determine failure rates, calculate availability/reliability, identify failure modes, and evaluate program cost-effectiveness.
  • Developing and executing process control surveillance programs.
  • Collecting and trending process data using multiple historian databases and visualization tools.
  • Performing control philosophy reviews, logic updates, and loop tuning to improve process stability.
  • Conducting criticality assessments and developing maintenance strategies for instrumentation and control systems, factoring in SIL assessments, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and OEM recommendations.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related Engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong knowledge of discipline-specific design standards, specifications, codes, and safety criteria.
  • Hands-on experience with specification and application of pressure/temperature/level instruments, control valves, shutdown valves, and fire/gas detection systems.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SAP, Analytics for Excel, and Tableau.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; capable of working with diverse teams and managing shifting priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal technical communication skills.
