Job Opportunity: Interface Engineer – Qatar (Oil & Gas)

Job Purpose Summary – Interface & Construction Coordination
  • Act as the main liaison between Contractor, Operating Company, and external stakeholders for Pipeline & Sleeper Repair scope.
  • Ensure seamless coordination across PMT, contractors, and operations to align project interface execution.
  • Support the Construction Lead by prioritizing and supervising Interface Agreements (IA) and Lessons Learned (LL) activities.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Construction teams to review and initiate interface actions.
  • Drive IA & LL processes across all project gates per company’s Project Management System.
  • Track and report interface progress, risks, and audits to stakeholders.
  • Lead and participate in weekly interface meetings and LL workshops.
  • Review and guide IA submissions, ensuring timely endorsements and risk assessments.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering in related discipline or equivalent
    • Minimum of (10) years broad experience in all phases of subsea construction planning, field execution and mechanical completion activities in respective discipline.
    • Experience in offshore EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Installation) projects.
    • Min of (5) years worked as subsea / offshore installation engineer with Tier 1 Oil and Gas Contractors for field execution works.
    • Experience of working on Diving Support Vessel (DSV) for subsea pipeline repair, spool tie in, free span correction activities.
    • Familiar with daily Diving Support Vessel, air and saturation diving operations.
    • Worldwide experience working in Brownfield environments with contractors and subcontractors, in particular those involved in the construction of Subsea and offshore, Shutdown, oil, gas, chemical and/or petrochemical plant facilities.
    🛠️ Key Responsibilities:
    1. Acts as the focal point between the PMT and the EPCI contractor particularly for SIMOPS and Interface and Upstream Gas Planning group.
    2. Participates in the development of all SIMOPs documents to ensure that all parties have a clear understanding and impact on adjacent work activities.
    3. Develop and implement interface management plans to coordinate activities between engineering/Construction/contractor & operation.
    4. Identify, document, and track interface points across project phases (engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations).
    5. Act as the main point of contact for resolving interface issues between various contractors, PMT, and Project Stakholders.
    6. Identify potential interface risks and develop mitigation strategies
    7. Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and industry regulations
    8. Support risk assessments, change management, and impact analysis related to interface issues
    9. Maintain accurate records of interface agreements, changes, and resolutions.
    10. Develop interface reports and dashboards to monitor project progress.
    11. Support project close-out activities by ensuring interface resolutions are documented initiate Space Reservation IA by eIMS have pre-alignment/coordination with IA Reviewers i.e HAZID/HAZOP Workshop and 3D Model
