Due to demand for their fresh perspective and continued growth our client is currently looking for an experienced, collaborative Intermediate Structural Engineer.

You will have full New Zealand experience working on building structures, industrial, land and infrastructure with client liaison experience. A blend of office-based design work, site visits and construction monitoring.
 
Accountabilities
  • Complex residential and commercial engineering designs
  • Initial Seismic Assessments independently, Detailed Seismic Assessments
  • Construction monitoring
  • Bridge, culvert and underpass inspections and load capacity assessments
  • Mostly working independently but knowing when to ask for advice and support
  • Managing project budgets and invoicing
  • Other duties as directed by management

Competencies
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering
  • 3-6 Years Experience, with at least 2 years’ experience with New Zealand standards and codes.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, Microstran and other structural design software
  • NZ Driver’s License
  • Experience navigating local authorities would be highly advantageous.
