Our client is actively seeking a Junior Project Coordinator to join their team out of their site in Milledgeville, GA! This individual will be in directly support of the project delivery team in the successful execution of civil construction projects. This individual will ideally be early in their career, who exhibits excellent organization skills, is proactive and eager to learn the ropes of projects coordination within an fast-paced construction environment. This is a full time, long term opportunity to join a growing construction firm specialized within the fly-ash space including benefits (medical, vision, dental) 401K, life insurance, etc.! 

About the Role:

The Junior Project Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the administrative and operational aspects of civil infrastructure projects including roadworks, earthworks, drainage, utilities, and structural works. Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Project Managers with daily administrative and coordination tasks.
  • Assist in the preparation and tracking of project documentation, including RFIs, RFQs, submittals, ITPs, and daily site reports.
  • Maintain and update project schedules, document registers, and tracking logs.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timelines and documentation requirements are met.
  • Help manage document control systems (digital and hardcopy), ensuring proper version control and distribution.
  • Assist with procurement tasks, including issuing POs, tracking deliveries, and checking supplier invoices.
  • Support compliance with safety, environmental, and quality requirements by ensuring relevant paperwork is completed and filed.
  • Attend site meetings, take minutes, and follow up on outstanding actions as required.
  • Provide general administrative support to the construction team and site supervisors.
  • Help ensure that records of inspections, test results, and progress updates are properly stored and accessible.
Key Skills and Experience:
Essential:
  • 1–3 years’ experience in a project support, administration, or coordination role (civil construction industry preferred).
  • Understanding of construction project lifecycles and typical documentation processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience with project management software is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Basic knowledge of WHS and quality systems in construction environments.
Desirable:
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Project Management, Civil Construction, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Aconex, Procore, or similar.
  • Previous experience working on-site or in a construction project office environment.
