NES Fircroft are recruiting a Laboratory Automation Specialist, to join a leading agricultural company dedicated to enhancing global food security. This role is based at our client's site in Bracknell on a 24 month contract.

The Role:
As a Laboratory Automation Specialist, you will collaborate with scientists to leverage cutting-edge automation platform.
Your role will also involve:
- Setting up automated workflows.
- Troubleshooting issues on the Tecan Evo liquid handler.
- Contributing to the selection of new automation equipment.
- Proven experience in an automation role, preferably within a lab environment.
- Proficiency in writing, developing, testing, and troubleshooting workflows on a liquid handler, specifically the Tecan Evo.
- Ability to work closely with scientists to translate manual processes into automated workflows.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- MSc or equivalent experience in a science or engineering discipline.
- Experience with integrating and automating lab equipment.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C++, C#, R, SQL.
- Knowledge of IOT devices, microcontrollers, SBCs, or device integration.
- Experience with Design of Experiments (DoE) and image analysis.
