MISSION AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Within our organization, a Lead Engineer for Pre-commissioning is responsible, in direct connection with the project team and the client, for the team in charge of activities such as:
• Filling, cleaning, and dimensional control operations of submarine pipelines;
• Pressure testing;
• Passing instruments inside submarine pipelines;
• Conditioning submarine pipelines for commissioning;
• Ballasting and de-ballasting of floaters;
• And more monitoring and testing operations on the tubes, cables, and optical fibers of the power and information distribution network.
You will be involved in several phases of Offshore projects: pre-project studies, responding to tenders, detailed studies, and project execution.
Detached to the project engineering manager, you will be required to coordinate pre-commissioning activities:
• Lead the team responsible for the pre-commissioning of a project or a tender;
• Review the documents and technical specifications of our clients;
• Participate in engineering reviews and risk identification;
• Contribute to the preparation of technical and commercial offers;
• Revise the conceptual studies of the infrastructures as well as the underwater structures.
• Draft and review pre-commissioning plans and specifications for subcontractors and ensure daily follow-up with them;
• Mobilize the necessary equipment for pre-startup activities on a vessel or site;
• Provide technical assistance to operational personnel aboard vessels;
• Deal directly with clients, both during the study phase and during execution;
• Close out logistical, technical, and commercial activities with subcontractors and clients;
• Capitalize on knowledge through technological monitoring of developments in the field.
PROFILE
• A background in engineering, you have significant experience in pre-commissioning topics on Oil & Gas projects, particularly in deep water.
• Geographic mobility is necessary for missions/rotations on barge or site during the operations.
• You demonstrate good communication skills. You enjoy teamwork;
• Proficiency in English is essential.
