NES Fircroft are currently partnering with a major Oil & Gas operator that are looking to add a Lead Process Engineer to their team working in La Defense, Paris, France.

The role will be supporting the development of a recently discovered Oil & Gas reserve which is offshore in Africa.

Position is contract based and offers a long term duration initial 1 year expected to develop into 4 years. It offers strong day rate of pay. For this role, it will require a suitable candidate to be based in Paris full time.

Role overview
• The service holder is starting from the FEED phase sanction with the possibility to continue to the EPC phase until the completion of the Development phase including Project close-out.
• The service holder will lead process discipline during FEED preparation and execution. The Service Holder will be as well deeply involve in the FEED scope of work preparation until FEED sanction.
• During FEED, the service holder will be in charge of the performance of the FEED CTR on time and on budget FEED deliverable submission for her or his scope of work and as well actively participate in the EPC CFT preparation.
• The Service Holder will have numerous interfaces with other disciplines and entities including the partner.
• Service holder shall adhere to the Company Code of Conduct, Vision, Values and Behaviors, as supported by the Safe System of Working including Accountability of Safety.
• The service holder will perform this work in accordance with Project rules, guidelines and procedures

Activities
The service holder must possess strong expertise in Process discipline
The Service holder shall:
• lead the process studies, design and ensure compliance to project specifications for the FEED studies and then during EPC phases
• ensure the correct definition of the reference framework applied to the studies, the correct definition/identification of the list of deliverables expected at the end of the study, in line with the desired estimation class
• carry out or participate in the Value Engineering necessary to optimize the technical engineering, make it coherent before entering the FEED or EPC phases.
• ensure adequate inputs for the LLI definitions and associated CFT
• ensure process deliverables are of high quality for EPC CFT
• promote proven engineering solutions to ensure the safety, operation and maintenance of installations;
• support innovative solutions when they lead to CAPEX and/or OPEX optimizations,
• participate in technical reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, workshops, ad hoc meeting as appropriate
• ensure the timely review of the FEED contractor process documents and ensure timely review and approval of the deliverables
• Identify, monitor and expedite interfaces with other packages development that may affect the discipline
• contribute to the tendering process, exhibits preparation and participate in technical clarifications phase for his or her discipline
• ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• ensure any technical query and deviation requests are accurately monitored, replied to, and expedited in an appropriate timeframe
• ensure close communication and reporting to FEED CPF ENGINEERING LEAD and CPF package company representative about the progress of his or her discipline, any technical issue or blocking points in a timely manner.
• Provide process documentation and operating instructions.
• Create, configure and develop industrial processes

Context & Environment
• The environment oversees offshore projects, main drivers being to ensure a cohesive approach across both projects, to mutualize best practices, create synergies towards CAPEX reduction objectives.
• The 2 projects are innovation driven with Conductor Supported Platform to be rolled-out and are developed with the objectives to maximize economical results by optimizing the reserves, the schedule, reducing the costs and the Greenhouse Gas (GHG)
emission, while maintaining the technical quality of the installations, with high H3SE requirements and focus.
Project A
• is a development in OML102 block in Nigeria based on minimalistic wellhead platform tied-back to Ofon OFP2 CPP via 26km
pipelines (1 multiphasic production line, 1 water injection line).
• FEED started in October 2024 for 5 months, FID is expected end Q2 2025 and first oil Q2 2027.
Project B
• is a development in OML112/117 block in Nigeria based on minimalistic wellhead platform tied-back to BNAG CPF via 23km
pipelines (15km offshore, 8km onshore).
• FEED starts in Q1 2025, FID is expected end Q4 2025 and first oil Q1 2028

Qualifications & Experience
  • Expertise in oil and gas engineering minimum 10 years of projects
  • Expertise in supervision/management of personnel.
  • Language of the service: English
  • Professional Expertise: More than 15 years
