Description:This position assumes the responsibility of monitoring and optimization of all production process variables, ensuring that all production equipment is operating at peak reliability and efficiency, and acquiring and storing data.Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:• Actively supports Health, Environment, and Safety processes by accomplishing daily activities within applicable regulations and policies, carrying out duties in an environmentally conscious manner, following safe operating practices as described in the Control of Work standard, maintaining a safe working environment, and being prepared to respond to an environmental or safety event.• Operates, troubleshoots, repairs, andmaintains oil and gas productionequipment• Partners with Integrated OperationsCenter to optimize and troubleshootproduction equipment and wells.• Perform duties (as detailed below)associated with oil and gas producingoperations; including but not limited toproduction facilities, production wells,water disposal and compressors.• Optimizing artificial lift Systems thatinclude gas lift, ESP, rod pump, andplunger.• Operate VRU and gas blanket systems.• Operate transfer pumps (centrifugal andgear pumps).• Testing wells and safety devices.• Acquires fluid level information.  

• Operates and monitors of SCADA.• Partners with other employees, andcontractors to ensure that all equipmentis operating at peak efficiency.• Utilizes Computerized MaintenanceManagement System to create workorders for inventory and workplanning/prioritization.• Assures all work performed adheres toChevrons Operational Excellence standards and regulatory requirements.• Records keeping and data input. • Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications:• A minimum of 2 years current relatedexperience in oil and gas, or relatedpetrochemical industries.• Work schedule for the position will be a8/6 rotation; ability and willingness towork nightshift, weekends and holidays ofassigned work schedule and overtimebased on workload.• High School Diploma or equivalent.• Valid Driver's License.Preferred Qualifications:• Associate's degree in petroleum orProcess Technology or related technologydiscipline.• Three years current related experiencein oil and gas, or related petrochemicalindustries.• Familiarity with reliability efforts for avariety of safety, environmental andproduction related issues.• Ability to perform basic troubleshootingand maintenance of production andfacility equipment.• Familiar with pneumatic/electronicinstrumentation.• Basic knowledge in MS Office (Word,Excel, Outlook, etc.), CMMS, SCADA, andan aptitude for learning new softwarepackages.• Capable of simultaneously performingmultiple tasks with limited supervision.• Ability to work effectively andcooperatively with a diverse team ofcoworkers, contractors, and internal andexternal customers.• Ability to manage time effectively, andwork with minimal supervision.
