Our client is a natural gas exploration and development company in the Philippines. It owns the 45-percent operating interest in a deep water gas-to-power project, supplying 20 percent of Luzon’s electricity requirements.

Purpose

Responsible for managing all logistics activities between the Drilling Unit and the Company Supply Base as directed by the Project Logistics Lead.
 
Work undertaken to be conducted to OGP standards as well as National and International regulatory requirements.
 
Logistics Coordinator will liaise primarily with the Drilling Supervisors and/or Superintendents in support of the exploration and well delivery operations, offshore the Philippines.
 
Responsible for Company Inventory, Materials and Equipment at the Supply Base

Accountabilities

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing a dedicated, fit-for-purpose logistics process at the Supply Base, suitable to support the planned drilling and SURF activities for the project.
 
This shall as a minimum include:
  • Assist in the identification of requirements, specification of quality and quantity, final selection and acquisition of materials, facilities, and equipment.
  • Accountable for implementation of the Client's Energy policies, standards, and guidelines, with particular focus on the implementation of the relevant HSE Logistics Management OGP Standards.
  • Accountable for establishing and implementing procedures, work instructions, checklists etc. supporting the Client's policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Accountable for optimizing the utilization of logistical resources to meet operational and HSSE needs in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Accountable for managing the Logistics Execution Plan, which shall be aligned with requirements derived from the Project Execution plan.
  • Accountable for expediting and delivery of materials and equipment to the Drilling Unit and/or SURF Operational units.
  • Accountable for liaison with the service contractors to ensure their equipment is complete, suitable for service, meets HSE requirements, and is prepared for shipment in a timely manner.
  • Accountable for monitoring inventories to ensure that adequate materials are available for identified programs.
  • Accountable for monthly and quarterly reporting of utilization and exposure figures, emission and waste management types and quantities and other KPI’s.
  • Maintain excellent communications and working relationships with other operational groups both within and outside his local operating unit.
Special Challenges
 
Ensuring continued safe operations in a remote operating environment
Continuous contact with the Drilling Unit on the day-to-day requirements.
Continuous contact with the Supply Base Contractor and IWS contractors.
Establish, implement, and monitor contracts for the Supply Base Operations and Marine Fleet.
Harmonizing, as far as possible OGP Standards with the Supply Base Contractor, Marine Crews and IWS Contractors on the Base.
Review, analyze and recommend alternative solutions to current practice.
Liaise with other companies to improve availability and utilization.

Experience & Qualifications Required 

Minimum 10 years’ experience in Offshore Logistics operations with particular focus on drilling deep water wells.
At least 5 years’ experience and familiarity with Wells equipment and tubular handling protocols.
Demonstrates Knowledge in Marine Fleet Management and scheduling
Experienced in Planning Vessel Load outs and Yard operations
Familiarity with Oil & Gas Producers (OGP) and other relevant international standards, recommended practices and national regulations.
Demonstrates excellence in Lifting and Hoisting methods and procedures
Good interpersonal and communications skills -verbal and written.
Computer literacy.
