About the Role
A rare opportunity has become available to join the logistics team supporting a Tier 1 upstream energy operator in Queensland. As Logistics Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of materials across wells, projects, and operational sites.
This position focuses on optimising freight planning, maximising heavy vehicle utilisation, and driving continuous improvement across one of the largest logistics portfolios in the Australian energy sector.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate road freight requirements across wells, projects, and maintenance teams
- Optimise heavy vehicle usage across a dedicated transport fleet
- Ensure full compliance with HSSE standards and national transport legislation
- Review and validate monthly transport invoices and monitor budget spend
- Support annual logistics budgeting and reporting activities
- Identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency improvements
- Provide technical input for transport contracts and tenders
- Monitor delivery KPIs and lead performance improvement initiatives
- Background in freight forwarding, customs, or heavy road transport
- Proven experience in logistics planning and fleet coordination
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across operational and contractor interfaces
- Safety-first mindset with working knowledge of HSSE frameworks
- Familiar with SAP, mInventory, or similar logistics/supply chain platforms
