NES Fircroft Australia has partnered with a world leader in Mining based in the Northern Territory. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Planning Assistant to support a highly performing site-based maintenance planning team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on maintenance or trade experience who is looking to move into a planning support function. Your primary responsibility will be scoping maintenance tasks and preparing detailed job plans for fixed plant assets in a processing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct field inspections and scope maintenance work for fixed plant equipment.
- Work closely with Maintenance Planners to develop accurate job plans and task lists.
- Assist in identifying parts, tools, and resources required for upcoming work.
- Liaise with trades, supervisors, and reliability teams to ensure maintenance readiness.
- Support the development of shutdown work packs and maintenance schedules.
- Maintain accurate asset information and assist with CMMS data entry and updates.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement across maintenance teams.
About You:
- Trade background or prior maintenance experience, preferably in fixed plant or processing operations (e.g., crushers, conveyors, pumps).
- Strong understanding of safe work practices and risk assessments.
- Good communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with SAP.
- Eagerness to learn and develop planning or technical documentation skills.
