NES Fircroft is partnered with a leading mining company who is seeking an experienced Maintenance/Reliability Engineer for an initial 6-month contract position onsite located in the Northern Territory.
Reporting to the Superintendent. The deal candidate will focus on defect elimination, implementing systems and standards for maintenance, asset management, and condition and performance monitoring.

About the role
Main job responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Lead analysis of equipment performance, identifying chronic issues, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and manage reliability programs (e.g. condition monitoring, oil analysis, vibration analysis).
- Drive defect elimination processes to reduce equipment downtime and costs.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives for equipment reliability and lifecycle costs.
- Facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Provide expert support to frontline maintenance and operations teams during equipment failures or complex repairs.
As the successful candidate you will possess the following:
- You are a highly motivated individual with a strong focus on safety
- Previous experience working in a processing mining environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of SAP experience
- Hold relevant tertiary qualifications in either Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics
- Experience with troubleshooting and reliability on process mining equipment
- Have a passion for data analytics, as well as experience in developing and implementing strategies to achieve reliability and availability levels.
