Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic II
Location: Pecos, TX Area
Department: Onshore Production Operations
Field Office: Pecos, TX
Position Summary:We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic II to support operations in the Pecos, TX area. This role involves performing a variety of mechanical tasks related to the repair, modification, and maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience and may assist senior mechanics with equipment disassembly, part replacement, and reassembly.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment and machinery.
  • Assist senior mechanics with complex repairs and equipment overhauls.
  • Replace or repair worn or defective parts.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
Requirements:
  • Must provide own tools and a standard 3/4-ton truck.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Schedule:
  • Work Days: Wednesday to Friday
  • Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (8-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch)
  • Days Off: Saturday to Tuesday
Certifications & Safety Requirements:
  • Required: PEC Safeland Certification (must be obtained prior to start; upload proof to Fieldglass).
  • Role-Specific: ANSI Z390.1-2017 instructor-led H2S training (as applicable).
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):Contractors must provide the following PPE before starting work:
  • ANSI-approved safety glasses
  • Steel toe safety shoes
  • Hard hat
  • H2S monitor
  • SCBA (for Production Operations and Drilling roles)
  • Flotation device/life jacket (where applicable)
  • Fire extinguisher
  • Flame-Resistant (FR) clothing
Additional task-specific PPE may include:
  • Hearing protection
  • Gloves
  • Chemical handling PPE
  • Hot gloves
  • Face shield
