- The Maintenance Technician will ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime in our paper converting facility. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems to support safe and efficient production operations.
- Perform preventive maintenance and identify repair needs.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Read and interpret schematics (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic).
- Assist operators with machine adjustments and quality issues.
- Install and repair drives, gearboxes, belts, chains, and electronic components.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Monitor equipment performance and report downtime, counts, and speeds.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications a plus.
- Experience in industrial maintenance (mechanical/electrical) preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to follow instructions, verbally and written.
- Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying temperatures.
- Available for rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call duty.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
- Ability to work in varying work environments with dust, noise, heat, cold, and machinery exposure.
