- Develop comprehensive product briefs, narratives and technical information for new and evolving products.
- Work closely with team across interiors, culinary, in-flight entertainment, digital and design and align with Qatar Airways brand strategy, customer experience (CX) goals and strategic positioning of overall product vision.
- Translate technical and operational product updates between cross functional teams into holistic, accessible, consistent and impactful narratives for internal stakeholders.
- Serve as a central communications advisor, responsible for developing and overseeing robust product briefs that capture research and insights and clearly articulate a desired deliverable across product and service programs, executive updates.
- Be the focal point to support all product and employee engagement launch campaigns, including acting as a key liaison with Marketing and PR department for all product launch campaigns and press releases.
- Support PDD leadership with strategic communication content; for example (but not limited to) townhalls, board presentations, key note presentations, external briefings.
- Translate strategic vision and design rationale into accessible and compelling stories by capturing the “how” and “why” behind features and decisions during project development to inspire stakeholder buy-in and deepen customer connection.
- Support SVP PDD to drive alignment with cross-functional leaders in Qatar Airways group and affiliated entities to ensure strategic communication themes are consistently reflected in all product and service messaging.
- Build a forward-looking content calendar tied to key events (both internal and external), sponsorship activations, product development plans, launch milestones and the broader customer experience transformational roadmap.
- Work with the product and service teams across PDD to articulate product features, unique selling points (USP) and benefits. Assist the respective teams to translate these into cohesive product and service definitions using compelling language and visuals.
- Act as PDD’s single point of contact for communication planning across multiple ongoing product and service workstreams.
- Develop and track operational KPIs and dashboard to measure the health and success of strategic initiatives.
- Nurture the team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability. This includes setting performance objectives, providing regular feedback, and supporting professional development.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Communications, Marketing, Business, PR or a related field; a Master’s degree is an advantage
- Strong understanding of customer experience (CX) principles.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in corporate communications, product marketing and/or strategy role.
- Experience working in airline, travel industry or branding agencies with familiarity in airline product & service concepts (e.g., cabin classes, seats, inflight services including, comfort, entertainment, catering and other onboard customer experience elements).
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with SMEs and senior stakeholders to align product communications.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Strong market knowledge and alignment with the industry trends and leading practices.
- Proven track record of developing and delivering impactful communication strategies in large and cross functional environments.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging narratives for
- Exceptional copywriting and editorial skills with a strong command of tone, clarity and messaging for diverse internal and external audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence without authority.
- Proficient with communication and content creation tools (e.g., MS Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, Content Management System (CMS) and proof-reading tools).
- Project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deliverables.
- Leadership and strategic thinking capabilities, with a proven ability to lead cross functional and multi-cultural teams in a fast-paced environment
