Mission: multiple short missions worldwide for vessels inspections and audits
Typical profile: former Captain, former Chief Mate of former Chief Engineer.
The selected candidate must have past experiences as officer onboard a DP vessel who operated in oil and gas offshore industry.
Good knowledge of:
• International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) all relevant Guidelines, Standards & Report formats
• Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF) – Offshore Vessel Inspection Database (OVID)
• International Maritime Organization (IMO) Relevant Conventions, Codes, and Instruments.
• International Labor Organization (ILO) Relevant Conventions.
• Flag State Regulations, as applicable
• Coastal State Legislation applicable legislation related to the area of operations.
• Client specifications applicable to vessels operations, marine assurance, permits to operate on field
Job description:
• Issue project documents (Marine operations manual, vessel marine assurance, cargo barges towing plans, etc…)
• Communicate with main installation vessel captains in order to ensure that their requirements are included in the vessel requests; and passed on to chartering department.
• Ensure that the project requirements and the Client specifications requirements are included in the vessel requests; and passed on to chartering department.
• Review offers received from chartering department, participate to the technical bid evaluations.
• Review vessels certificates, crew CV and confirm acceptance. Review & Comment vessels selection before charter.
• Perform inspections, audits on vessels prior use on project
• Give feedback on inspections, capability of vessel, crew
• Issue derogation requests to client specifications for marine aspects. Follow up derogation acceptance and closure.
• Review the charter party agreement, inform project in case of discrepancies.
• Participate, support the Client and MWS inspections, audits on vessels
• Follow up inspections, audits with projects and Chartering department and ensure all findings are closed. Responsible for the action tracker close out following an inspection.
• Advise the vessels owners in order to bring the vessels up to the required standards as required.
• Participate to pre-operations kick-off meeting with Owners and project (including HSE meeting).
• Participate to the risk assessments for marine operations
• May participate in investigations following marine incident, issue the investigation report together with the investigation team.
• Capable to dispense captain and crew specific project briefing during vessel mobilization
REQUIRED SKILLS:
