Measurement Technician III
Job Description
MAIN FUNCTIONS
Seeking a qualified individual to oversee and support measurement systems. This role involves various levels of engagement in calibration (tanks, tank cars, equipment, etc.), tank gauging, gas and liquid measurement, meter proving, temperature and pressure correction for volumetric measurements, and control charting (including basic statistical concepts and applications). The technician will also provide operability and maintainability expertise for the Instruments and Controls discipline.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Install, maintain, and calibrate measurement equipment.
  • Install and maintain radio equipment and ensure communication uplink.
  • Participate in and understand the following: orifice, ultrasonic, turbine, and Coriolis measurement; AGA Measurement Standards; Fisher ROC/ABB configurations; radio communications; and hydrocarbon sampling for analysis.
  • Uphold a strong commitment to safety culture and environmental standards.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • Set process controls in both field and processing plant environments
    • Maintain, calibrate, and perform testing and preventative maintenance on measurement equipment
    • Install, test, troubleshoot, and run diagnostics on RTU equipment
    • Calibrate and troubleshoot transmitters and communication systems
    • Install and test flow transmitters in the field
    • Test and analyze gas for moisture content, gravity, and CO₂ levels
  • Preferred experience with Fisher ROC and ABB gas measurement equipment, as well as WinCCU software
  • Previous experience in a similar role or related industry
  • College degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
