About the Role Do you have a passion for technology and hands-on work? As an Mechanical Technician, you'll play a key role in the assembly and setup of advanced radar systems used to enhance public and environmental safety. You will be part of a skilled production team that assembles precision equipment before it’s shipped to clients worldwide.

You’ll work independently within a collaborative team environment, occasionally guiding less experienced technicians. The production team consists of a supervisor and several experienced colleagues. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble radar systems, including mechanical construction, soldering, and connecting electronic components

  • Troubleshoot issues during assembly and testing phases, contributing to product quality and reliability

  • Install and configure operating software on hardware integrated into the radar systems

  • Maintain high standards of electronic and mechanical quality and safety throughout production

  • Support field testing at specialized test sites when required

  • Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, as part of internal logistics

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues using appropriate measuring tools

  • Document progress and maintain accurate technical records

Requirements
  • MBO Level 4 in Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field

  • 1–3 years of experience in high-tech system assembly or similar roles

  • Solid soldering skills and familiarity with electronic component assembly

  • Experience with diagnostics tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers)

  • Knowledge of PCBs, electrical schematics, and subassembly integration is a plus

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and accurate in documentation

  • Eager to learn and adaptable in a dynamic, growing organization

  • A Certificate of Conduct (VOG) may be requested depending on the role
