Mechanical Engineer III Main Functions
Evaluate and comment on discipline engineering work performed both internally and by contractors and sub-contractors to ensure execution aligns with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Facilitate effective execution of discipline engineering and design routines that align with team goals, objectives, and procedures. Ensure accurate and timely communication among the team and other functions on discipline engineering activities, progress, and issues. In addition to technical capabilities, the role requires strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and coordinate discipline engineering technical work products

  • Coordinate and communicate engineering design, safety, and compliance issues between internal teams and contractors

  • Review and evaluate work performed by contractors and sub-contractors for compliance with specifications, standards, and regulations, including discipline design drawings and documents

  • Identify and assess deviations from technical specifications and regulatory requirements; ensure proper processing and maintain the Deviation Control Log

  • Manage and respond to technical queries and information requests from contractors and sub-contractors

  • Keep Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager informed on progress, deviations, and execution concerns

  • Participate in engineering reviews at contractor and sub-contractor locations

  • Promote and support capital efficiency in engineering design

  • Support internal engineering initiatives and best practice programs as requested

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional experience

  • Strong knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and safety criteria for the discipline

  • Able to work under tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and shifting priorities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • Fluent in written and spoken English, particularly in technical and business communications

Instrumentation & Controls Engineer II Main Functions
Evaluate and comment on discipline engineering work performed both internally and by contractors and sub-contractors to ensure execution aligns with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Facilitate effective execution of discipline engineering and design processes in alignment with project goals, objectives, and procedures. Ensure accurate and timely communication within the project team and across supporting functions. The role also requires strong technical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Tasks and Responsibilities
In addition to Level I responsibilities, Level II includes:

  • Analyze maintenance records to assess failure rates, availability, reliability, bad actors, failure modes, and program effectiveness

  • Develop and implement process control surveillance programs

  • Collect and trend process data using various historian databases and visualization tools

  • Conduct control philosophy and stability reviews; execute logic updates and loop tuning

  • Perform criticality assessments and develop equipment strategies and maintenance plans for instrumentation and control systems, incorporating SIL assessments, industry standards, regulations, and OEM recommendations

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience

  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation and control design standards, codes, and safety practices

  • Experience in hardware selection/specification (pressure, temperature, level instruments, control/shutdown valves, fire/gas detection) using ISA data sheets

  • Skilled in data analysis and trending using tools like SAP, Analytics for Excel, and Tableau

  • Capable of adapting to tight deadlines, shifting priorities, and high workload

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • Fluent in written and spoken English, especially for technical/business contexts
