As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Fixed Plant, you’ll report to the Superintendent - Engineering, and play a key role in supporting the operational Ore Processing Facility (OPF). Your focus will be on technical support, asset optimisation, and continuous improvement across fixed plant infrastructure.

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Fixed Plant, you’ll report to the Superintendent - Engineering, and play a key role in supporting the operational Ore Processing Facility (OPF). Your focus will be on technical support, asset optimisation, and continuous improvement across fixed plant infrastructure.
What’s On Offer
- $100-$110/hour + superannuation
- Starting on 6 months with likely extension
- 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO from Port Hedland
- Work in a technically challenging environment with strong leadership
- Join a site that has exceeded production targets for FY24-25 and now looking to double their outcomes for FY25-26
- Get exposure to a unique mining environment utilising advanced processing technology to produce high grade concentrate
What You’ll Need
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in fixed plant maintenance or engineering roles
- Background in hard rock mining and mineral processing
- Strong understanding of WA mining legislation and safety regulations
- Proficiency in SAP or similar CMMS platforms
- Excellent planning, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive mindset and desire to grow within a supportive team
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with maintenance, reliability, and production teams to deliver technical solutions
- Lead and support operational and capital projects
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on plant downtime events
- Drive continuous improvement and defect elimination initiatives
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and Change Management processes
- Monitor and improve quality assurance of critical mechanical processes
- Contribute to budget planning and cost control for your area of responsibility
