Reporting to the Operational Readiness Superintendent the Ops Readiness Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless collaboration between the project delivery team and asset owners. The primary focus is to drive successful operational readiness activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations.

 
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Project Delivery Team to fully understand scope and timelines, ensuring readiness information—such as IOM, equipment registers, datasheets, P&IDs—is accessible and up to date.
  • Work alongside Asset Owners to define and facilitate operational readiness requirements, proactively addressing gaps and providing consistent progress updates.
  • Engage with Central Support Teams—Maintenance Processes & Systems, NPI & Water Management, Engineering, and Reliability—to maintain alignment with corporate standards and industry best practices.
  • Conduct spares criticality assessments, cataloguing, and stock management in collaboration with site maintenance and engineering teams, ensuring compliance with maintenance philosophies.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of SAP records, including function locations, equipment masters, BOMs, maintenance plans, maintenance items, task lists, and regulatory requirements (FMECA).
  • Lead and facilitate effective team meetings, fostering clear communication and coordinated workflows.
  • Provide regular progress reports, ensuring schedules and budgets remain on track.
 
Qualifications & Experience
  • Trade or Engineering qualification.
  • Hands-on maintenance planning experience with strong SAP Master Data expertise.
  • Relevant industry experience, particularly within mining operations.
  • Solid understanding of maintenance processes and operational readiness principles.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in stakeholder collaboration across multiple levels.
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation abilities.
