Package Responsible Engineer (PRE)
 
Contract period: 01.08.2025 - 31.12.2027
Location: Stavanger

Main Tasks:
  • Act as the technical lead for rotary equipment packages such as compressors, pumps, turbines, pressure vessels, heat-exchangers, and other mechanical/static items.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, including specifications, data-sheets, and procurement packages.
  • Lead technical evaluations and support procurement during bidding and supplier selection.
  • Ensure supplier deliverable comply with applicable codes, project specifications, and client requirements.
  • Follow up on supplier progress, documentation, quality control, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
  • Coordinate interfaces with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.
  • Participate in technical clarification meetings, design reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and handover phases.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and regularly update progress reporting systems.
  • Complete and accurate technical procurement documentation for all equipment packages.
  • Timely review and approval of supplier documents and drawings.
  • Effective follow-up on fabrication, FAT, and delivery schedules in alignment with project milestones.
  • Coordination and resolution of technical issues across disciplines and suppliers.
  • Compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervision and technical guidance of 1–2 junior or supporting engineers assigned to the package.
  • Regular progress reporting and risk assessments related to package scope.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor or Master degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Extensive relevant work experience can compensate for lack of formal education.
  • 10 years of experience as package engineer within energy or oil & gas projects.
  • Solid understanding of international standards such as API, ISO, ASME.
  • Knowledge of Danish legislation and offshore regulations is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with DNV standards is highly valued, but not an absolute requirement.
  • Experience with EPC and EPCIC project models and supplier follow-up across engineering and execution phases.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across disciplines and vendors. 
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Danish language skills is a plus.
