We are working with our major energy client, INPEX, recruiting for a Payroll Advisor to ensure accurate, timely payroll and associated activities. This is an initial 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.
Primary Responsibilities:

Occupational Health and safety
  • Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
Payroll:
  • Ensuring salaries and wages are distributed accurately and on time including the
  • execution of payroll.
  • Maintaining employee, salary and leave records.
  • Resolving/answering queries relating to payroll across the organization.
  • Understand and meet all regulatory or business standards requirements
  • Superannuation + compliance – including preparation of upload file to clearing
  • house
  • Payroll Tax + compliance
  • STP / PAYG + compliance
  • Leave Liability reconciliation
  • Income protection reporting
  • Worker’s compensation
  • System testing for enhancements and support pack / legislative changes
  • Preparing management reports within the payroll system.
  • Assist with and ultimately do the preparation of redundancy calculations and
  • terminations.
  • Support payroll audit activities – 4 per year
  • Provide full back-up to the Lead Payroll Advisor
  • Yearly reporting for EY (June/July) , Salary Continuance (January) and Workers
  • Compensation (August)
  • Assist with and ultimately year end STP reconciliation and close-out, ISTIP, Remuneration Review and FBT reporting
Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years end-to-end payroll experience.
  • Preference of a minimum 3 years' experience with SAP HR and/or Payroll
  • modules
  • Experience in reconciliation/preparation of all regulatory requirements
  • Attention to detail / accurate record keeping and report management
  • Experience in dealing effectively with payroll/HRIS audits
  • Experience in establishing system processes, and procedures
  • Excellent problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills
