Role Summary:  

The Pipeline Pre-Commissioning Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of equipment used during pre-commissioning activities such as pumps, compressors, nitrogen generators, and filtration units. The role demands sound mechanical skills, experience in high-pressure systems, and a commitment to safe field operations
Key Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on:  

- Diesel-driven pumps and compressors  

- Nitrogen membrane units and boosters  

- Air dryers, filtration units, and chemical dosing pumps

Conduct daily equipment inspections and ensure functionality before startup.  

• Support function testing of the complete spread post-mobilization.  

• Assist technicians and operators in equipment alignment, hose installation, and leak  

rectification.  

• Document maintenance and inspection records as per project requirements.  

• Report mechanical issues and part requirements to the Supervisor promptly.  

• Ensure all equipment is operated within its rated pressure and safety parameters.  

• Participate in toolbox talks, JSAs, and follow all HSE guidelines rigorously.

Experience & Qualifications:  

• Minimum Requirements:  

- 3–5 years experience in mechanical maintenance of oil & gas field equipment.  

- Strong troubleshooting knowledge of rotating equipment and high-pressure systems.  

- Experience with diesel engines, valves, pumps, and hydraulic systems.

• Willingness to work in remote or offshore conditions on shift/rotation.
