Process Engineer
We are looking for an experienced and motivated process engineer to join the team at one of our clients in the Midland area. As part of our organization, you support asset management, operation, construction, and engineering teams by providing safe, compliant, effective, and fiscally responsible solutions to better manage our production of oil, gas, and water.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
• Bachelor’s degree chemical engineering is preferred.
• Minimum of three years of oil and gas experience.
• Occasional travel is required.
• Ability to work independently – be self-motivated and have a high level of personal
responsibility and accountability.
• Creative individual, capable of analyzing and solving problems.
• Strong computer skills with the ability to use AutoCAD, Plant 3D to develop design
documentation.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects at once.
• Have knowledge of state and federal regulatory laws and regulations
Some of the main duties and responsibilities of this role include:
• Must support facility engineering, infrastructure construction, and field operations staff to
evaluate and solve problems.
• Interpret, provide guidance to General Manager, and develop strategies to implement industry
standards, recommended practices, and regulations, including but not limited to:
o API 520/521 – Pressure Relieving Devices
o API 2000 – Storage Tank Venting
o ASME B31.3/B31.8 – Carbon Steel Piping
o API 15LE – HDPE Piping
o NACE MR0175 – Hydrogen Sulfide Considerations
o OSHA Standards
o EPA New Source Performance Standards
o EPA National Ambient Air Quality Standards
o Texas State Permitting Requirements
• Develop and lead process hazard analysis exercises with field operations.
• Review, modify, and develop new and existing process control utilizing Cause & Effect
Diagrams and Control Narratives. Can translate information to field operations to ensure
effective knowledge transfer and management of control schemes.
• Specify all instrumentation and automation based on process and organizational needs for
greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Work with electrical and automation personnel to provide tangible and realistic solutions.
• Identify and mitigate potential design and operational risks.
• Staying updated on the latest technologies and best practices in the industry
