Location: Initially based in Houston, TX for approximately 2-3 months. The position will transition to Sugar Land, TX thereafter.


Job Title : Process Designer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Process Designer to join our dynamic team. They may occasionally be called upon to function as a Project Lead, Drafting Checker, or Coordinator on Projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Monitor and assess drafting performance, quality, and provide feedback for improvement.
● Review engineering design data for completeness and consistency with SLBC and Client practice prior to commencing drawing preparation.
● Conceptualize and draw PFD and P&ID independently, using CAD or Intelligent P&ID application (AVEVA).
● Use CAD or Intelligent P&ID (AVEVA) system to prepare and maintain highest to medium complexity process drawings and other related documentation from layouts, sketches or verbal instructions.
● Be responsible for accuracy of assignments, except for design features that are the responsibility of the process engineer.
● Maintain status reports on assigned projects.
● Database creation in Intelligent P&ID Software (AVEVA) for Process Engineering drawings such us PFD, P&ID, etc.
● Perform or support administrative related roles such as legends, symbology creation, platform creation and data back-up in CAD and/or Intelligent P&ID (AVEVA) environment.
● The designer should be able to extract process data from Intelligent P&ID (AVEVA) for interdisciplinary requirements (line list, valve lists, instrument list, etc).
● Perform SLBC process design checklist when preparing drawings in either CAD or Intelligent P&ID (AVEVA) environments.
● Communicate with regional offices, other engineering disciplines and fabricators referring to P&ID and Process Engineering drawings, to take projects from initiation to installation.
● Mentor designers in AVEVA, CAD, and Intelligent P&ID tools.
● Ability and willingness to travel, as required to fulfil project and business needs.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
● 10+ years Process Industry experience
● Prior work experience in EPCs, Engineering Consultancies, and preferably Production Facility Engineering
● Experienced in using AVEVA software suite.
● Advanced skills using AVEVA, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Office. Adobe XD and After Effects a plus
● Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Experience a plus
● Actively support, participate in, and maintain the integrity and on-going function of the company and facility HSSE program.
● Able to complete the tasks with company and client standards and quality requirements.
