NES Fircroft are currently supporting our valued client, Woodside Energy, who are looking for a Process Engineer to join their Project Australia Team in Perth. This position is offered on a 15-month contract and advertised start in October 2025.
About the Role:
Working as part of the Projects Australia team, the Process Engineer works in a dynamic environment of diverse and changing technical and business requirements to provide support and value-adding advice across Woodside.
The portfolio includes Facilities modifications (e.g. GWA LLPO, GWF4, NRC Low Pressure Start-up), decommissioning activities (closure planning through to removal) and subsea tie-backs (e.g. Xena-03).

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Delivery of process engineering scopes across the portfolio
- Development of discipline work scopes and delivery schedules
- Driving HSEQ performance, process safety and integrity management throughout delivery of scope including participation in HAZOP/LOPA workshops and resultant action closeout.
- Collaborating across projects and asset teams to drive efficient solutions across process discipline areas
- Ensuring conformance with WMS, Engineering Standards and Specifications
- Management of change, both internally within Woodside and externally with Contractors
- Ensuring robust and ‘fit for purpose’ governance, verification, validation and assurance for all scope elements
- Driving consistency and continuous improvement in ways of working
- Ensuring liaison with Subject Matter Experts and Technical Authorities where required
- Drive performance of the engineering team, through Contractors, to strive for outstanding results
- Ensuring tasks are closed out and lessons learnt are communicated appropriately within the organization and to Contractors.
- Degree qualified chemical engineer with 6+ years related industry experience
- Experience in an offshore project / brownfields environment is preferred
- Experience in supporting discipline related activities on operating assets desirable
