Our client, a fast-growing low carbon technology licensor catering to the alternative energies industry, has a permanent opportunity for a Procurement Manager to be based in Houston, TX.
 
Job Summary 

Our client is seeking an organized and motivated Procurement Manager who can lead a robust procurement procedures across the company. From receiving requests, identifying vendors, obtaining quotes and proposals, leading the evaluation and vendor selection and following orders through to delivery or completion, this is a role where you’ll have the opportunity to make an impact from the get- go, and work with a fantastic group of people.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, lead and execute procurement strategies.
  • Develop and implement strategic supply chain relationships and agreements for commodities, goods and services.
  • Develop and maintain a status report of all procurement activities.
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers and vendors to develop and manage a master list of approved suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers while continually scouting for additional vendors.
  • Lead the material and service request process by collaboration with key persons to ensure clarity of the Scope and expectations.
  • Analyze proposals and technical evaluations and develop recommendations for award.
  • Lead and perform bidding and post-order activities through completion and delivery.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce cost and improve effectiveness.

Requirements
  • Bachelors degree with 10 years’ experience or at least fifteen (15) years of procurement experience within an industrial setting.
  • Experience with all phases of procurement from sourcing to delivery.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable contracts for the procurement of sustainable aviation fuel technology, ensuring compliance with sustainability standards and regulations.
  • Collaborating with supply chain partners to ensure timely delivery of raw materials, equipment, and services required.
  • Implementing quality assurance processes to ensure that procured materials and equipment meet the company's standards for sustainability, performance, and safety.
  • Attention to detail is excellent. You have a great memory and your ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously is fantastic.
  • Embody a can-do attitude with excellent communication skills and team spirit.
  • Process-oriented with the ability to implement and follow policies and procedures effectively.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work best when having deadlines to meet.
  • Tech-savvy, confident using Microsoft Office 365 products.
