Job Description Summary:
The Project Controls Advisor for the Project plays a pivotal role in managing and forecasting costs, as well as meticulously detailing Primavera schedule activities for the Wells, Subsurface, and Water teams. Collaborating closely with contractors and the project team, this role generates and analyzes integrated project costs, forecasts, and reports. Utilizing adept change management strategies, including managing change, budget transfers, contingency drawdown, and trend logs, ensures the team remains informed of expected estimates at completion.
Job Description:
•Develop and maintain detailed schedule baseline packages for various Well Pads development phases in collaboration with the Subsurface, Drilling and Completion, and Water teams.
•Implement project control procedures and continually monitor project progress, ensuring live schedules are accurately updated.
•Prepare regular reports to monitor project key milestones, baseline dates, trends, and current targets.
•Implement change management processes, keeping the project team informed of any deviations.
•Identify and develop scheduling and planning requirements for pads in the Drill ready program.
•Support benchmarking activities using Power BI, develop, review, and validate integrated detail schedules.
•Review, validate, and challenge contractors' detailed schedules, integrating them into the master schedule.
•Produce required accounting and project cost reports, highlighting deviations, under-runs, and over-runs.
•Monitor project costs and commitments to budget and forecast, maintaining change control and the change order register.
•Maintain good working relationships and facilitate communication with internal groups.
•Administer project cost management systems and procedures, communicating plans, and initiating Project Controls systems and applications implementation
•Establish cost codes according to the project WBS and coding philosophy, setting up original budgets in cost management applications.
•Maintain, update, and validate information within the cost management application.
•Monitor, review, and analyze cost reports and statuses of contractors' work throughout all project phases, devising corrective plans for any deviations.
•Generate external and internal cost reports and time phasing of cost and cash flow table related to incurred costs and outlook forecast (EAC).
•Collaborate with the Project team to develop the Project CAPEX appropriate for the development phase, maintaining consistency in cost bases through rigorous adherence to control processes.
•Work with Procurement, Project Management, Scheduling, and Contractors to understand VOWD, accruals, outstanding invoices, and help resolve claims if necessary.
•Liaise with Finance to communicate accrued costs and obtain actual costs regularly for input into the cost management application.
•Demonstrate hands-on experience with Primavera P6 and MS Office, along with proficiency in project control principles.
•Comfortably analyze data using Power BI and Excel tool.
•Hold a degree in Engineering or possess equivalent cost or schedule-related experience with over 8+ years' relevant experience in Project controls in Major Capital Projects in the Oil and Gas industry, including proficiency in Scheduling, Cost Management and Procurement Tools (e.g. Primavera, Kildrummy Cost Manager (KCM), SAP S4N Hana, SMART GEP). Preference for related Project controls experience in an upstream Unconventional Oil and Gas environment.

Selection Criteria 1:
Functional knowledge and experience: Demonstrated experience in planning and scheduling oil and gas upstream projects. Actively led planning & scheduling development on a multi-functional project team. Demonstrated ability to develop and/or implement digital innovations and solutions related to Planning & Scheduling. Must be proficient in Primavera, Excel, and Power Point presentation. Demonstrated track record of delivering results on capital projects. Ability to analyze and critique project plans and schedules effectively.
