Job Title: Project Coordinator
Location: Regina, SK area (candidates must be local to the area or willing to relocate) – location is ~40 minute drive from Regina
Start Date: May
Schedule: Mon-Thurs, 10 hour days
Contract Length: 1 year
This position will consist of but not be limited to, scoping & implementation of a list of Projects within the Wellfield area that include Well pad lay out, infrastructure routing & install & overall multi-disciplinary Well pad Construction from initial Project concept through to completions & handover to serve the Mine site long term Operation.
Contractor shall provide Project coordinating services to progress various Projects in the Mine Wellfield area ensuring that design, engineering, and construction activities are adequately designed, installed and programmed to appropriately communicate, control and protect high-cost assets and minimize production impacts for the wellfield area. The coordination of this work shall include at a minimum the following:
  • Provide technical and project management support to lead small, medium and potentially large, multidisciplinary projects from concept through turnover, to and support of, operations, validating targeted benefit.
  • Follow and adopt Project & Technology Stage Gate and Project & Technology MOS process for all assigned projects.
  • Collaborates with project stakeholders including engineering, design group, maintenance, operation, consultants, and project engineers to seek/provide solution to issues. 
  • Collaborates with project stakeholders to create a strategic action plan and cost estimates of materials, time, labor, and other resources required to complete the project.
  • Facilitates and host required meetings with project stakeholders.
  • Supervises progress of assigned project.
  • Liaison with vendors and suppliers. Assess the competence, capabilities and resources status of vendors and suppliers.
  • Prepare periodic progress reports including but not limited to weekly, monthly reporting and audit field changes.
  • Inspire and support project managers in strong project management practices while challenging them to improve on each subsequent project.
  • Apply defined project management methods and strategies (Scope Management, Stakeholder Management, Schedule Management, Cost Management, Risk Management, Change Management, Quality Management and Procurement Management) which are fit for purpose for individual projects with respect to scale, complexity and importance.
  • Prepare and/or review specifications, engineering deliverables, data sheets and tender documents including expediting orders to facilitate installation and construction.
  • Collaborates with Document Control and manage external party (including shop drawings, reports, estimates engineering deliverables specifications, datasheets, SDL etc.) and internal disciplinary documents review. Combine redundant comments and resolve conflicting comments if required prior to returning final comments to third party.
  • Contribute to the design, evaluation, negotiation, and execution of contracts.
  • Ensure systems and suppliers meet technical specifications, codes, adherence to industry and internal standards, and that required regulatory and QA/QC requirements are met.
  • Ensure technical decisions are vetted, understood, and enshrined into technical specifications where required.
  • Development of Project specific documents in Excel, Word, pdf. Visio, Microsoft Project & Primavera P6.
  • Regular Field visits to active Construction Sites/Project to verify Construction progress & acceptance and report back to the Project Team on findings.
