NES Fircroft is partnering with a key client of ours as they are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator with specialized experience in Document Controls to support the execution of a large-scale capital mining project. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity, accessibility, and traceability of project documentation throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in document control systems, project coordination, and stakeholder communication within engineering, construction, or infrastructure environments.

Job Details
Location: Kings Mountain, NC or Charlotte, NC. Hybrid work schedule (3-4 days per week required in office)
Hours: M-F-40 Hours per week
Pay Range: $35-$45/hr. depending on experience and skillset.
Duration: Contract to hire.  

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain document control procedures and systems in alignment with project requirements and industry best practices.
  • Manage the flow of documents between internal teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all project documentation is properly categorized, filed, and archived in accordance with regulatory and contractual obligations.
  • Monitor document version control, approvals, and distribution to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain and update document control logs, registers, and metadata.
  • Support the Project Engineering Manager in tracking project schedules, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Assist in the preparation of project reports, presentations, and dashboards.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Track and manage project correspondence, RFIs, submittals, and transmittals.

Job Qualifications
  • Must have at least 2+ years of experience in a dedicated document controls-based role.
  • Must have previous experience supporting a complex large scale capital project and interfacing with multiple stakeholders.
  • Must be willing to support other project administrative tasks outside of the document storage initiative.
  • Previous experience working with Aconex would be a big plus.
  • Previous experience interfacing with EPCs or knowledge of different project facets (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, etc.) would be a big plus.
  • Candidates local to the Charlotte or Kings Mountain, NC regions are highly preferred. NO per diem or relocation offered to candidates outside the region.
