Job Title: Project Engineer Location: Quarry Park, Calgary, AB
Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site | Contract 

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Project Engineer to support the execution of complex engineering projects at our Quarry Park location. This role involves coordinating design activities, supporting procurement and contractor management, and ensuring compliance with technical standards, schedule, and budget requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in engineering practices and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Civil Earthworks experience a priority
  • Participate in the preparation of Invitation to Tender (ITT) packages, bid evaluations, and contractor selection processes.

  • Assist with the identification and sourcing of long-lead equipment in collaboration with design teams and procurement.

  • Coordinate key project documentation and milestone deliverables across functional teams.

  • Facilitate resolution of project issues and manage change requests in accordance with project protocols.

  • Monitor execution of assigned work scopes to ensure alignment with technical, cost, and schedule objectives.

  • Serve as a liaison between internal project teams and external contractors to ensure design and construction consistency.

  • Support smooth transitions between project stages by coordinating activities and maintaining clear communication channels.

  • Apply standardized project management systems to support planning, execution, and close-out phases.

  • Review technical reports and data to identify potential engineering or operational issues.

  • Provide technical support across all phases of the engineering and project lifecycle.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.

  • Experience in engineering, construction, and project management roles.

  • Broad understanding of multidisciplinary design, procurement, and construction processes.

  • Familiarity with project phase deliverables and structured management systems.

  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities with a proven ability to manage shifting priorities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
