About the Roles
We are seeking experienced Mechanical Project Engineers to support a variety of sustaining capital and brownfield projects across fixed plant processing environments for various clients.
 
These newly created roles involve managing multiple concurrent projects in the execution phase, with engineering completed and budgets approved. You’ll provide technical support, coordinate with contractors, and work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and safe project delivery.
 
These roles offer the opportunity to work across diverse projects in a collaborative team environment, with a strong focus on execution, safety, and continuous improvement.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end project lifecycle: scoping, design review, procurement, construction, commissioning, and close-out.
  • Support development of Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs) and project documentation.
  • Provide markups for mechanical, electrical, and process drawings (P&IDs, PFDs).
  • Coordinate contractor activities and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
  • Liaise with operations, maintenance, and construction teams to ensure project alignment.
  • Monitor budgets, schedules, and risk registers; report progress through dashboards and updates.
  • Participate in site walkdowns, design validation, and commissioning activities.
  • Champion a multi-disciplinary approach to project execution and plant modifications.
 
Requirements
  • Mechanical Engineering Qualifications
  • Experience in fixed plant or heavy industry and projects
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems (piping, pumps, conveyors, chutes, structural steel).
  • Experience managing or supporting multiple brownfield projects under tight timeframes.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, SAP, CAD).
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and coordination skills.
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards, mining legislation, and site safety protocols.
  • Experience in refining or complex processing plants.
  • Current WA Driver’s License.
