Project Manager (Part-Time) – Tier 1 Mining Company 12-Month Contract | Perth-Based
Are you an experienced Project Manager looking for a high-impact opportunity in the mining and resource sector? We are seeking a skilled professional to step into a complex, technical project that is well into its planning phase and drive it through execution over the next three months.
About the Role This part-time (2.5 days per week) Project Manager position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a highly technical, high-stakes initiative involving integration, data, and reporting within a Tier 1 mining company. With multiple stakeholders involved, this role requires a proactive leader who can navigate complexities and deliver meaningful business outcomes.
There is a likelihood the role could go full time given the pipeline of work if this suits the candidate and the employer. It is likely the contract will extend beyond 12 months.

Key Responsibilities
- Project Execution: Lead the transition from planning to execution, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget.
- Dependency & Risk Management: Identify and manage project dependencies while establishing robust controls for risk mitigation.
- Performance Monitoring: Continuously assess project progress, making strategic trade-offs between size, complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value to keep the project on track.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and empower project teams, driving excellence in delivery and encouraging continuous improvement.
- Work with a Tier 1 mining company on a critical, high-interest project.
- Engage with technical experts and key stakeholders across the organization.
- Influence and shape strategic integration and reporting processes.
