Project Manager

NES Fircroft are currently recruiting for a Project Manager. This position is with our client, who are a global, industry leading power cabling company, working on a number of major renewable energy projects across Europe.

Project Manager
Industry: HV Onshore Cable Projects
Duration: 12-month contract
Location: Cologne
Hybrid working

Responsibilities

• Independent management and execution of cable projects in the land cable sector, including leading project teams for complex projects.
• Planning, coordination, and leadership of project teams both on-site and in the office.
• Management of economic, technical, and scheduling goals, including reporting.
• Monitoring and controlling project calculations and budgets.
• Construction process and site result control.
• Negotiation and conclusion of contracts with clients and subcontractors.
• Identification, support, and documentation of meaningful process improvements and standardizations.

Requirements

• Proven professional experience in successfully managing turnkey and supply projects, including contract and claim management.
• Experience in technical and financial project monitoring, as well as in leading and coordinating project teams.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, along with high commitment, flexibility, teamwork, and customer- and goal-orientation.
• Experience in high-voltage cable projects is desirable; alternatively, experience in high-voltage technology, cable, line construction, or infrastructure projects.
• Successfully completed technical or engineering degree.
• Fluent in English and German; additional language skills are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel (25%), primarily within Germany but also internationally.
• Open to freelance
