This leading supplier of dust and fume extraction equipment service a wide variety of clientele across New Zealand and are unique with their work where no two projects are the same. With this company progressively moving forward they are definitely going places and are looking for a likeminded Project Site Manager to join them on their exciting journey!
This is a key appointment within their business and working closely with sales, design, and warehouse staff as well as installers and sub-contractors on jobs. You will be responsible for managing multiple projects throughout New Zealand and this will include: scheduling of work, pre-assembly of their specialised gear, logistics, and conducting the installation and final commissioning of projects on site. You will also be heavily involved with contract management.
You will be especially involved with the continuous building and maintaining of strong relationships with clients, staff and contractors/ subcontractors to ensure that full satisfaction is achieved through the completion of projects on time and within budget.
You will have a proven track record in terms of managing multiple projects at a time, you will have a reputation in the engineering industry of providing effective leadership and credibility and you will have been working in positions that have commanded respect.
You would also be spending 1-2 days away from home per week with project managing and commissioning of projects including contractors and installers on various sites.
You will have relevant qualifications (ideally mechanical) or had a proven track record in the engineering industry after working through the ranks. Having experience from a mechanical and having a strong electrical understanding would be required for this role.

Your ability to deal with pressure, your high-level problem solving and communication skills are all major competencies required in this role. You must have the ability to interact successfully with both internal and external parties at all levels and have excellent report writing skills.

- Be well organised and be able to delegate tasks to appropriate personnel in an effective and organised manner
- Be fully confident with contract negotiation and client liaison
- Ability to cope and manage with change and variations at short notice
- Be available on demand to respond for emergency call-out or breakdowns
- Be able to manage and control projects within strict budgets and timeframes
- Ability to work with others to solve technical and design issues
- Be able to operate with and breathe health and safety awareness to all other staff to ensure a high focus is on this area to maintain that strict company policies and procedures are adhered to
- Be highly skilful in your work to ensure the company is represented in a professional manner
