Our client is seeking a Site QA-CQC Supervisor to lead quality assurance and control efforts on hydroelectric construction projects. This role ensures compliance with engineering specifications, manages quality documentation, and acts as the primary quality representative on-site.

Our client is seeking a Site QA-CQC Supervisor to lead quality assurance and control efforts on hydroelectric construction projects. This role ensures compliance with engineering specifications, manages quality documentation, and acts as the primary quality representative on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Project Startup & Planning
- Establish and implement the site-specific Quality Management System (QMS) and Quality Plan.
- Review contract QA requirements and supplier quality documentation.
- Develop Inspection and Testing Plans (ITPs) and obtain client approvals.
- Participate in site kickoff and post-handover planning.
- Ensure compliance with engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Supervise inspections, audits, and quality documentation.
- Manage non-conformance reports (NCMs), root cause analyses (RCAs), and corrective actions (CAPAs).
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Maintain traceability of materials and control of welding, painting, and testing processes.
- Lead quality gate reviews and ensure redlined drawings are completed.
- Train project team members on quality tools and procedures.
- Promote STOP Work and Foreign Material Exclusion (FME) strategies.
- Act as the main quality contact for the client on-site.
- Provide regular QA performance statistics and audit reports.
- Minimum 5 years of quality supervision experience, preferably in hydroelectric construction.
- Experience with USACE (Army Corps of Engineers) contracts.
- CQM Certification (Construction Quality Management for Contractors) required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Strong understanding of QA/QC systems, ITPs, and federal construction standards.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, piping, and electrical drawings.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with EM385 safety standards and hydro powerhouse environments.
