Our client is actively seeking a detail-oriented and organized QA/QC Construction Documentation Coordinator to join their team out of their site in Bucks, Alabama! This individual will support their construction team with quality-related record keeping and administrative tasks! This is an entry- to mid-level position ideal for someone with some construction knowledge and a strong ability to manage documentation, but not necessarily a technical expert.
The successful candidate will assist with compiling, distributing, and storing key quality control and construction records — including welding inspections, pipeline documentation, transmittals, and more. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring compliance and traceability for project QA/QC processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the QA/QC and construction teams with accurate record keeping and document control
- Organize and maintain inspection records, weld logs, NDE (non-destructive examination) reports, and other quality-related documents
- Track and distribute transmittals, inspection reports, and quality documentation to appropriate stakeholders
- Ensure records are complete, properly labeled, and stored in accordance with project and regulatory requirements
- Assist in preparing turnover packages and audit support documentation
- Perform basic quality checks to ensure documentation is accurate and consistent
- Liaise with inspectors, engineers, and contractors to collect and verify quality data
- Help maintain internal document control systems and digital databases
- Support field staff during pipeline, welding, and other construction operations by managing associated documentation
- 4+ years of experience
- Prior experience in construction or industrial project environments (field or office)
- Familiarity with quality assurance/quality control concepts and documentation
- Strong organizational and clerical skills
- Ability to manage large volumes of paperwork and maintain accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with document control software a plus
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in construction management or QA/QC is a plus
- Exposure to pipeline, welding, or industrial construction projects
- Experience supporting QA/QC teams or inspection activities
- Understanding of construction drawings, welding procedures, or inspection reports
