Summary:
  • The Quality Inspector/Data Clerk will be responsible for performing lab-based testing and data entry for paper products. This role supports quality assurance by evaluating raw materials and finished goods, maintaining lab equipment, and ensuring accurate reporting of test results.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine lab testing on tissue and towel samples using specialized equipment.
  • Evaluate raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods for quality compliance.
  • Accurately record and enter test results into spreadsheets and databases.
  • Identify product defects and communicate non-conformance to production teams.
  • Maintain lab cleanliness and ensure equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
  • Organize sample storage and manage waste disposal according to procedures.
  • Support documentation efforts including filing quality check sheets and calibration logs.
  • Collaborate with production staff to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience in quality control or lab testing preferred.
  • Strong visual inspection and data entry skills.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Strong shop math and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and lab procedures.
  • Experience in the paper industry is a plus.
