Client is hiring a subject matter expert to join their engineering team supporting their North America oilseed crush operations. This is a challenging opportunity for an Operations Engineer to assist their soybean/canola oil processing facilities with improving efficiencies, operational troubleshooting, and capital project design across all oil processing facility locations. This position will follow engineering principles and the Client Core Values in providing operations support to meet business needs required to keep our facilities competitive.
 
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Project Development: Collaborating with location managers to plan and develop projects focused on improving Productivity, Quality, Safety, and Environment (PQSE).
  • Capital Expenditure (CapEx): Collaborating with facility management to define technical needs and CapEx requirements. Recommending CapEx projects, evaluating their technical viability, and assisting with project presentation development.
  • Productivity Improvement: Identifying productivity improvement opportunities across North America oilseed processing locations.
  • Best Practices: Identifying, promoting, and coordinating the implementation of best practices across all facilities. Assisting facilities with problem-solving and troubleshooting operational issues.
  • Global Standards: Assisting facilities and the Manufacturing Excellence Team with Client global best practices for processing and global equipment standards.
  • Vendor/Contractor Assessment: Assisting facilities with assessments of vendors, contractors, and consulting engineers.
  • Equipment Evaluation: Assisting facilities with OEM equipment evaluations
 
Skills/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or applicable related field required.
Minimum 5 years of extensive oilseed crush operations experience required
Extensive soybean/canola processing operational experiences in a broad range of climate conditions required.
Oilseed industry knowledge of safety policies regarding facilities required.
OSHA PSM program experience desired.
Minimum 25% travel, can vary based on needs of the business.
