Key Responsibilities:
· Support installation, commissioning and handover of major project rotating equipment. Act as functional or system/subsystem lead for select equipment or packages. For 2025, this includes the WOC T-130 turbine and ILF/WIF pumps. This may include temporary rotational assignment on the North Slope of Alaska.
· Develop PMs and lead criticality assessment and handover for major mechanical components at WOC. Support planning and provide rotating equipment expertise for WCF criticality and PM development.
· Support Operations and Maintenance team with mechanical and rotating equipment needs following WOC handover. This may include troubleshooting, optimization, annual maintenance, spares analysis and management, etc…as well as vendor interface and management.
· Serve as Anchorage based Mechanical SME for the project.
· Support future development analysis and planning, including permitting support as required.
· Work collaboratively with other discipline engineers, the project team, and the AKBU Technical authority to resolve issues
· Provide inputs to procurement processes and evaluate quotes for spares or other equipment as required
Qualification Requirements:
Basic / Required:
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
· 5+ years of rotating equipment experience in oil & gas industry
· In depth knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards
· High awareness of safe working practices in the installation, commissioning, and operating phases of oil & gas facilities
· Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as well as potential temporary assignment on the North Slope
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Preferred:
· Previous arctic engineering experience with a demonstrated understanding of typical rotating equipment in arctic conditions
· Demonstrated experience with completions, commissioning and handover processes and interfaces
· Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multi-discipline, multi-function project environment with numerous stakeholders
· Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments
· Highly competent interpersonal and influencing skills to tactfully manage ambiguity and conflict, and ultimately resolve issues and reach decisions that are in the best interest of the company
· Strong multi-tasking skills with ability to manage multiple ongoing priorities
